Custom Exhaust

A buddy of mine needed a short section fabbed up for his project 1992 GSX1100 he's been building. He had the header and a titanium muffler needed a 12" pipe to snake up and connect the system. I built a connector for the Ti muffler and pinned it in place with screws, my pipe I just weldedto the header.

  1. My friend is also in need of a custom exhaust. I don't know much about them or how they work, but he is looking for some help in trying to put it together. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for him? He would really appreciate it! http://www.genie-exhaust.com.au

  2. I like to cut wedge shaped rings out of the exhaust pipe. They can be about an inch thick. Rotate the wedges around and tack-weld them in position and you can route exhaust around and thru some difficult places. Once you get it routed and tacked together, pull the assembly out and weld it on a bench. This preserves the diameter of the pipe to as opposed to bending it.
